Marc Groundwater has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Marc started their career in 2001 as an Electronic Technician Nuclear in the US Navy, where they operated nuclear power plants on board Navy aircraft carriers until 2007. In 2010, they joined Brisgestone Firestone as a Multicraft Technician, where they performed maintenance on industrial systems involved in agricultural tire production. Marc worked on electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated control and robotic components. From 2013 to 2015, Marc worked at Best Buy as a Counter Intelligence Agent, troubleshooting and diagnosing client devices. Marc also educated clients on device usage and security. In 2015, they joined Siemens as a Specialist and later became a Senior Specialist, focusing on building automation. Marc developed and modified front end and HMI graphics and was Niagra N4 Certified. Marc'smost recent role is as a Controls and Integrations Engineer at CPG, where they are currently employed.
Marc Groundwater attended Iowa State University from 2013 to 2014, where they studied Computer Engineering. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2009, they studied Materials Engineering at Washington State University. In addition to their education, Marc has obtained multiple certifications, including the OPSWAT Email Security Associate (OESA), Niagara 4 Technical Certification, (ISC)² Candidate, OPSWAT Data Transfer Security Associate (ODSA), OPSWAT Endpoint Compliance Associate (OECA), OPSWAT File Security Associate (OFSA), OPSWAT Introduction to Critical Infrastructure Protection (ICIP), OPSWAT Legacy System Associate (OLSA), OPSWAT Network Security Associate (ONSA), OPSWAT Secure Storage Associate (OSSA), and OPSWAT Web Traffic Protection Associate (OWPA). These certifications were obtained between August and December of 2022, and they demonstrate Marc's expertise and knowledge in various areas of security and technology.
