Norbert Chan

Norbert Chan is an experienced RF Engineer at Canadian Pacific Railway since November 2014, specializing in the design and implementation of slot plans for positive train control radios and communications infrastructure for remote control of locomotive services across multiple locations. Additionally, Norbert serves as the Chair of the Wireless Communications subcommittee for Enhanced Train Control and has contributed to various projects, including deploying repeaters and designing electronic pullback detection systems. Prior to this role, Norbert worked at General Dynamics Canada as a Systems Engineer, leading initiatives on mobile radio connections and conducting performance tests for satellite on the move equipment. Norbert's career also includes engineering positions at Wi-LAN, Nortel Networks, and Computing Devices Canada. Norbert obtained a Master's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor's Degree from Queen's University.
