Shane Thomason

Shane Thomason currently serves as the General Manager Mechanical for CPKC, a position held since April 2023. Prior to this role, Shane served as the Director Mechanical for Canadian Pacific Railway beginning in April 2017. Shane's extensive background includes military experience as an Equipment Specialist in the US Navy from 2010 to 2017, a Welder for the US Coast Guard from 2008 to 2010, and a Carman for Union Pacific Railroad from 2003 to 2008. Shane's service in the United States Marine Corps as a Crew Chief AAV from 1999 to 2003 adds to a diverse professional history in mechanical operations. Educational qualifications include studies at Penn State University.
