Peter Röhner has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Most recently, they have been working at Collaboration Factory AG since 2021 as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Prior to that, from 2020 to 2021, they took a sabbatical and worked as a freelancer. From 2014 to 2019, they held the position of Vice President Research & Development at Dassault Systèmes/3DEXCITE, where they were responsible for post-merger integration and the development of a cloud-based "Enterprise Visualization" offering. Before that, they worked at Realtime Technology AG from 2008 to 2013 as the VP Research & Development, focusing on digital transformation in marketing and industrial design. Peter played a key role in the acquisition of Realtime Technology AG by Dassault Systèmes. From 2004 to 2007, they served as the VP Development EMEA at Open Text Corporation, and from 2001 to 2004, they worked as the VP Development at IXOS Software AG, which was later acquired by Open Text. At IXOS Software AG, they had world-wide research and development responsibilities and played a crucial role in the company's acquisition. Peter also worked as a developer and development management at IXOS from 1991 to 2001. Peter began their career in 1990 as a software developer at BMW Munich.

From 1985 to 1990, Peter Röhner studied Computer Science at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS), earning a degree in Dipl Informatiker (FH).
