Hywel Barrett

Hywel Barrett is currently the Chief Press Officer at the Crown Prosecution Service, a position held since 2021. Previously, they served as a Senior Press Officer and Crisis Communications Manager at the Department for Transport from 2018 to 2021, and worked as a Content Editor for the Saffron Walden Reporter and Dunmow Broadcast from 2015 to 2016. Hywel began their career in journalism as a Reporter at The Hunts Post from 2012 to 2015 and also gained work experience at Defra in 2009-2010. They hold a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Photography from Roehampton University and an NCTJ qualification from Harlow College.
