Patrick B. Pexton

Patrick B. Pexton is an accomplished news executive with extensive experience in journalism, editing, and policy coverage. Currently serving as the Editor of the CQCyber newsletter at CQ - Roll Call, Inc. since January 2018, Pexton focuses on the intersection of advanced technologies and government policy. Previous roles include Defense and foreign policy editor at CQ Roll Call, Editor-in-Chief of The Frederick News-Post, and Ombudsman for The Washington Post, where Pexton was the final ombudsman in the newspaper's history. Pexton's career also includes significant positions at National Journal and Army Times Publishing Company. An alumnus of Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and Claremont McKenna College, Pexton possesses a strong foundation in American foreign policy and political science.
