Mark Barker has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2003 as an Account Executive at McCann Worldgroup, where they managed global advertising, marketing and new business efforts for McCann Erickson's young adult specialty, TAG Ideation. In 2005, they moved to MTV Networks as a New Business Marketing Manager, where they led the development of strategic sales and marketing communications, leveraging cultural and new media insights to position MTV's multiplatform offering for Fortune 100 advertisers. In 2007, they founded strategic marketing agency The Boxing Club and grew the client roster to include Dell, Google, Sony, Cartoon Network, NFL, JellyNYC, GOOD Magazine, Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Texas Burger. In 2009, they attended the Acton School of Business, an innovative MBA created and taught by seasoned entrepreneurs. In 2012, they became General Manager of GOOD/Corps, a social innovation consulting practice within GOOD Worldwide. In 2013, they became a Partner at Silicon Alley Media, a boutique digital media strategy and business development firm focused on media, entertainment and emerging technology companies. Finally, in 2015, they became Co-Founder of Craft & Commerce.

Mark Barker completed their MBA in Entrepreneurship from the Acton School of Business in 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a BS in Business Administration from Washington and Lee University in 2003, which they attended from 1999 to 2003.
