Eric Scheide

Eric Scheide is the current CTO at Craigslist. Eric started with the company in July 2000 as a systems administrator and programmer, and was promoted to CTO in July 2018. Eric has helped craigslist grow from a small startup to a world-class tech shop, with an unbeatable attitude and work environment. Eric has continued to do systems work and programming tasks until people started looking at him funny. Eric got their first pair of reading glasses during this period. Eric has helped scale craigslist to several billion page views a day. Once scraped poop off the front porch of the sunset office (who wants to be me?). Before joining craigslist, Eric worked at the University of San Francisco as a Network Application Specialist/ Computer Support from January 1990 to December 2000.

Eric Scheide has a degree in music from San Francisco State University.
