Nancy Voith

Managing Director at CRA

Nancy Voith counsels clients on a variety of communication issues, particularly those related to hard-to-find, game-changing communication, and marketing talent and organizations. Prior to joining CRA, she led various corporate communication functions for Ross Perot's EDS and started her career as a press secretary in D.C. immediately after graduating from the University of Tennessee.

With almost thirty years in corporate communication and marketing, Nancy has experience in virtually every area of the function, including employee communication, brand, C-suite counsel, media relations, community affairs, government relations/lobbying, marketing communication and issues management. Throughout her career, she has built highly effective teams from scratch. Evaluating, hiring and coaching professionals; determining the best talent matches for senior communications roles; counseling executives; and driving change through complex global organizations are her specialties.

Prior to joining CRA, Nancy led EDS’ Global Employee Communications, achieving engagement among the company’s 140,000 employees in 70 countries. During the three years she led communications for EDS’ $11B Americas Region, baseline and annual research indicated her team increased EDS’ media presence and brand visibility by more than 100%. Nancy has guided senior leaders through crisis communications situations and media opportunities. As a member of EDS’ original Brand team, she helped design the company’s voice and approach. She was also the author/instructor of EDS’ Media Training, Public Relations, Brand, and Issues Management training programs.

From 1985 to 1995, Voith was president of Voith Communications, with clients ranging from high-tech companies and government agencies to nonprofit organizations. She also served as press secretary to Congressman John Duncan early in her career. She is accredited by the Public Relations Society of America and has served as a national senior judge for its Silver Anvil Awards since 1991 and on its National Honors and Awards Committee. Since 2000, Nancy has been an in-demand speaker at multiple professional conferences, including strictly juried PRSA International Conferences and IABC World Conferences, CLE, the Conference Board, ITSMA, Melcrum, and universities.

A native of Knoxville, Nancy graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in journalism/public relations and a minor in German. She spent a year in German Studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München in Munich and has traveled extensively throughout Europe.
