John Nguru

John Nguru has extensive experience in the technology industry, with a focus on software development and leadership roles. John is currently the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Craydel, a position they have held since November 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at Saltar Consulting from April to November 2021.

Before joining Saltar Consulting, John worked at Squad Digital for almost a decade, starting as a Team Lead in June 2012 and later becoming a Development Team Lead in March 2019. At Squad Digital, they played a key role in developing Goby, an SME business solution designed to help micro-SMEs establish an online presence and manage their business operations and marketing.

Additionally, John served as a Software Engineer at Alternative Circle from October 2017 to March 2019, where they gained valuable experience in software development. Prior to this, they worked as a Systems Developer at Globefinity Ltd from May 2011 to May 2012 and as a Senior Software Developer at LINQUES COMMUNICATIONS LIMITED from July 2010 to April 2011.

John began their career at Futuristic Ltd in September 2009, where they served as a Senior Software Developer until June 2010. Throughout their career, John has consistently demonstrated their expertise in software development and leadership, making him a valuable asset in the technology industry.

John Nguru attended Kijabe High School from 2000 to 2003. After completing high school, they enrolled at Makerere University from 2006 to 2009 and obtained a B.IT degree in Information Systems, Database Modelling, and Software Development. Later, from 2011 to 2013, they pursued a Master's degree in Information Technology (MSC IT) at Strathmore University. Additionally, they hold a certification in MCITP from Java Certification.
