Rumesh De Silva has a diverse work experience in sales and marketing roles. Rumesh currently works at Crayon as a Sales Director, where they have been since 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Oracle as a Sales Manager from 2018 to 2020. Before joining Oracle, Rumesh held various positions at IronOne Technologies LLC, BoardPAC, Swastic Group (Pvt) Ltd, and VS Information Systems (Pvt) Ltd (HP tire one partner) in sales and marketing management roles. Their responsibilities included overseeing sales teams, managing channel partners, conducting market research, creating marketing plans, and achieving sales targets. Rumesh also has experience in brand development, advertising, and promotions.
Rumesh De Silva completed their primary and secondary education at Mahanama College from 1991 to 2004, focusing on mathematics. Rumesh then pursued an Advanced Diploma in Marketing Management at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura from 2007 to 2010. Following that, Rumesh obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management (currently following) at the same university from 2011 to 2013. In 2020, they obtained the certification of Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft. Currently, Rumesh is pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business at the University of the West of Scotland, with an expected completion in 2023.
