CRD was founded in 1965 by Graham Pauncefort to import and distribute specialised Continental and American catalogues. The company's first recordings were released in 1973. By 1975, CRD had cemented its position as a visionary classical record label.

Now run by Tom and Emma Pauncefort, CRD continues to record interesting and unjustly neglected works, seek out outstanding young artists, and record standard classics where it feels a new approach can be justified.

Our renewed vision for the future is to redefine classical music and ensure we levearge our music for societal good.
