Cre8Dance is a Pittsburgh-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the future of choreography by creating meaningful performance, funding, and development opportunities for choreographic artists.

Founded to address the lack of financial and professional support available to many choreographers, Cre8Dance centers its work around a flagship annual choreography competition that awards significant cash prizes and presents new work on a professional stage in front of industry adjudicators and live audiences.

Beyond competition, Cre8Dance is expanding into artist creation residencies, commissioned new works, and community facing programming designed to support dancers and choreographers with real wages, creative resources, and visibility. The organization’s long-term goal is to become a leading platform for choreographic innovation while strengthening Pittsburgh’s role in the national dance ecosystem.
