Creadoras De Luz is a bilingual, culturally competent maternal health education and consulting company based in North Carolina, founded by Ana Lepe Vick. The company's name — which translates to "Creators of Light" — reflects its core mission: to illuminate the path toward safe, informed, and empowered pregnancies for Latina and Hispanic families in North Carolina and beyond. “Dar a luz” is a commonly used idiom in Spanish for “giving birth”, so “Creadoras de Luz” refers to birthing people as creators of life. 

The company was born from lived experience. Ana Lepe Vick lost her son Owen at birth in 2015. That devastating loss transformed into a purposeful mission — to ensure that no other Latina family faces preventable loss due to language barriers, lack of culturally appropriate prenatal education, or systemic inequities in healthcare access. Creadoras De Luz is the vehicle through which Ana delivers this mission directly and sustainably to the community she serves.
