Tomas Sluka is the CEO and Co-Founder of CREAL. Prior to this, they were a researcher at Université de Genève and EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne). Their research has spanned across various topics such as developing phase field simulations of ferroelectric wide-bandgap semiconductors, developing methods for stabilization of movable conducting channels in ferroelectrics, and experimentally demonstrating metallic-like conductivity and formation of free electron gas at charged domain walls in nominally insulating ferroelectrics. Tomas has also been successful in developing piezoelectric ceramics for high stress and humid conditions, as well as developing piezo-based acoustic transducers for active control of acoustic impedance in jet engines. Tomas has also participated in project proposals and negotiated details of collaboration with various industrial partners.
Tomas Sluka has a Ph.D. in Science Engineering (Mechatronics) from Technical University of Liberec and a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from Technical University of Liberec. Tomas also has a M.Sc. in Science Engineering (Mechatronics) from Technical University of Liberec.
Some individuals on their team include Tomáš Kubeš - Co-Founder & Business Development Director, Giovanni Landi - Head of XR Design, and Alexander Kvasov - COO.
