Jennifer Ward

Jennifer Ward has extensive work experience in the field of education and technology. Jennifer currently works at Coding Dojo as a UI/UX Designer & Front End Development Lead Instructor, where they create curriculum and delivers instruction on UI/UX Frontend Development. Jennifer also teaches coding as a Virtual Coding Instructor at STEAMpark, INC., focusing on 3rd to 8th-grade students using the Khan Academy platform. Previously, they were a Front-End Web Development Instructor at STEM Street School and a Stem Curriculum Project Lead/Online Instructor at Create & Learn.

Jennifer has also worked in curriculum development and instructional roles in the education sector. Jennifer was a Curriculum Developer/Career Technical Educator at NYC Department of Education, where they collaborated on training initiatives and implemented new courses. Jennifer also served as a Curriculum Developer and Lead Graphic & Web Development Instructor at Borough of Manhattan Community College, developing curriculum and delivering instructional content for graphics and web development programs. In 2015, Jennifer enrolled at Touro University to pursue a Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) degree with a focus on Web and Application Development. Jennifer completed this program in 2022.

Additionally, Jennifer has obtained several certifications throughout their career. Jennifer completed the "Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design" certification from Coursera in March 2023. In 2022, they obtained certifications in "Build a Full Website Using WordPress," "Introduction to Front-End Development," and "Programming with JavaScript," all from Coursera. Jennifer also obtained the "Get Started with Figma Project Certificate" and "Introduction to iOS App Development with Swift 5 ISO Development Certification" from Coursera. In 2017, Jennifer obtained a Teacher License in Career and Technical Education from the NYS Department of Education.

Jennifer is currently in progress of completing certifications in "Instructional Design Foundations and Application" and "Foundation of Project Management" from Coursera, both offered by Google. However, the specific completion dates for these certifications are not provided.
