Emar Vegt is an accomplished designer and entrepreneur with extensive experience in sound design, interaction design, and leadership. Currently serving as Co-Founder of CreateNew, a designer-owned cooperative established in January 2024, and as Co-Founder and Design Director at Design-well since May 2021, Emar emphasizes the importance of culture and community in the design process. Emar operates an independent consulting business, Vegt Design, since 2009, specializing in diverse aspects of sound design and strategy. Previous roles include Head of Experience Strategy and Design at Mirabeau, leading a team of 45+ design specialists, and significant positions at BMW Group, including Principal Sound Designer. Emar holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from Eindhoven University of Technology.
