Tom McCaren is an experienced audio professional with a diverse background in sound design and implementation within the video game industry. Currently serving as Principal Sound Designer at Creative Assembly since February 2017, Tom has contributed significantly to the Total War series by designing audio systems and creating assets for various game elements. Prior experience includes roles at Toxic Games Ltd and Playground Games, where Tom worked on projects such as Q.U and Forza Horizon 3, respectively. Additionally, Tom held multiple positions at Codemasters across several years, contributing to various titles by creating and implementing complex audio assets. Educationally, Tom holds a BA(Hons) in Creative Music Technology from Bath Spa University and has completed City & Guilds certifications in Sound Engineering.
