Yuning Chen began their career in 2012 as a Research Associate at Ohio University, where they were responsible for project wrap-up and paper writing. In 2013, they were a Post Doc at Penn State University affiliated with the Center for Lignocellulose Structure and Formation, a DOE EFRC. Her research projects included biological impacts of expansin on living maize tissue and the interaction of expansin with cell wall. In 2016, they joined Creative Biolabs as a Senior Research Scientist, where they conducted basic research to verify or develop standard scientific principles, theories, and concepts under general supervision.
Yuning Chen earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Ohio University between 2006 and 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology between 2002 and 2006.
