Amy Smith is an accomplished Artist Consultant and Financial Literacy Educator with extensive experience supporting artists and fostering community engagement. Since 2004, Amy has provided tax preparation and financial advice to around 300 clients annually while co-facilitating anti-racism conversations and training in the arts sector. As a Financial Literacy Educator at Creative Capital, Amy leads workshops focusing on vital skills such as budgeting, negotiating fair pay, and managing self-employment finances. Amy's leadership as Founder and Executive Director of Headlong Dance Theater significantly transformed it into a community arts organization. With prior roles as an adjunct professor at UArts and Temple University, combined with a strong background in business management, Amy possesses a rich blend of artistic and financial expertise. Amy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dance and Religion from Wesleyan University.
