Jesse Krimes is a self-employed artist and the founder and executive director of the Center for Art & Advocacy, a position held since September 2023. As a co-founder and director of the Right of Return USA Fellowship since August 2017, Jesse has focused on leveraging art for social justice. Jesse has also been recognized as a 2021 Guggenheim Fellow by the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation and awarded a 2020 Fellowship from Creative Capital. Additional notable affiliations include being an Art for Justice Fellow at the Ford Foundation and a gallery artist at Malin Gallery. Prior fellowships include the Rauschenberg Fellowship from the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation and the Independence Foundation Fellowship in 2017. Jesse Krimes earned a Bachelor of Arts in Fine/Studio Arts from Millersville University of Pennsylvania between 2002 and 2008.
