Creative Department was founded by Simona Bubánová and Andrej Krátky in 1996 as an independent creative studio in Bratislava. Both principal owners have had background in fine arts and design as well as professional experience from advertising (BBDO).
After a successful startup the agency soon started to acquire direct clients not only for creative but also strategic consultancy, media planning, buying and officially became a full service agency in 1999. 

At the time we have already cooperated with the international advertising network Scholz & Friends, servicing local network clients. During 2000 we concluded an affiliation agreement with the WPP network to form CD Ogilvy & Mather as a member agency of the Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide network. In cooperation with WPP we also represented the SOHO Square network in Slovakia. Since 2001 we operate a separate sister agency to handle any conflict clients accounts as needed. 

In 2008 we ended the cooperation with Ogilvy and continued independently as two close cooperating entities Creative Department and Creative Digital. The agency's headquarters are located in a quiet location of historic Bratislava with a panoramic view of the Castle.

Our working experience is very broad, servicing important clients from FMCG, Media, Automotive and Financial fields as well as several non profit and pro bono clients. 

During our existence we received numerous creative and effectivity awards as well as a prestigious philanthropy award Via Bona.
