Meng Chen began their work experience in 2001 at Raytheon as a Sr. Multi Discipline Engineer, where they worked on integrated circuit design with HDL language for both ASIC and FPGA designs. They also implemented control loops and performed general hardware control and maintenance.
In 2008, Chen joined Advanced Motion Controls as a Lead FPGA Design Engineer, designing, verifying, and testing servo control PID loops driven by FPGA. They also designed high-speed network interfaces in Xilinx's EDK environment. Additionally, Chen worked at Yo San University as an Acupuncturist and Herbalist during this time.
From 2014 to 2017, Chen worked at CTL SystemWare as a Software Engineer, where they demodulated 802.11ac and NTSC color TV signals to produce router information and color images, respectively.
Starting in 2017, Chen worked at Aperi Corporation as a Sr. FPGA Engineer, designing FPGA code and base level software for Media over IP products. This included designing media error detection features for SMPTE 2022-5,6,&7 standards carried by RTP and HBRMT packages.
Most recently, in 2019, Chen joined Creative Digital Systems Integration as a Sr. FPGA Engineer.
Meng Chen completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, from 1995 to 1998. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at UCLA, which they obtained from 1999 to 2000. In 2004, Meng Chen enrolled in the Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine where they earned a Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from 2004 to 2007.
