Basem Chbaklo

Basem Chbaklo has an extensive work experience spanning several industries and positions. Basem is currently the Chief Information Officer at the American University in Dubai. Prior to this role, they served as the Chief Executive Officer at Creative Technology Solutions (CTS) since 2013. Basem Chbaklo was also a Board Member at RSA Global from 2018 until 2021.

In the past, they held various positions at Gulf Warehousing Company, including Managing Director & Board Member from 2011 to 2012. At Agility, Basem Chbaklo served as the Deputy CEO, Middle East & Africa from 2006 to 2012, as well as the Country CEO in 2005 and a Business Development Manager from 2004 to 2005.

Before that, they worked as a Business Development Manager at Kuwaiti Danish Computer Company from 2001 to 2002. Basem Chbaklo also has earlier experience as a Customer Service Manager at Engineering Design Manufacturing from 1993 to 2001.

Basem Chbaklo attended International College from 1982 to 1989, where they completed their high school education. From 1989 to 1993, they studied at the American University of Beirut and earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer and Communications Engineering. Basem then pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree in Business at the Lebanese American University from 1993 to 1997. Later, Basem Chbaklo attended The Wharton School from 2002 to 2004, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Strategic Management.
