Guy Cox

Guy Cox has a diverse range of work experience in various roles within the media, entertainment, and travel industries. Guy began their career in 2003 as a Creative at Modus Operandi Media, where they worked until 2005. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as a Graphic Designer at Perth Racing, operating live television graphics systems and creating graphics for video packages. During this time, they also worked as a Photo Work for the Sunday Times.

In 2007, Cox transitioned into the travel industry, working as a Branch Sales Manager and Travel Advisor at STA Travel. Guy assisted customers with travel arrangements and managed various branches in Western Australia. Guy also played a role in training new staff.

In 2009, Cox returned to the media industry, joining Perth Racing once again. In this role, they served as a Director, CG Operator, PA Operator, Audio Operator, and Photo Finish Operator. Guy directed and vision switched OB camera operations at thoroughbred and harness racing events, operated live graphics systems, and fulfilled various other on-site roles at raceclubs across Western Australia. Guy also trained individuals in CG Operator, Photo Finish, and Audio roles. Cox worked at Perth Racing until 2015.

From 2015 to 2016, Cox worked at Success Dragon Technology Vietnam Company Limited as a Vision Director, where they consulted and set up the Vision Department for Greyhound and Thoroughbred horse racing in Vietnam. Guy selected equipment for the department and planned the physical space for the Master Control Room and Studio.

In 2016, Cox joined Mediatec Asia Pacific as an RWWA Technician, primarily working as a Video Director but also fulfilling roles such as CCU's, Graphics Operator, and VTR Operator. Guy worked on various events under the Racing and Wagering Western Australia Contract, as well as other live concert and tennis events.

Most recently, in 2022, Cox started working at Racing and Wagering Western Australia as a Judge. In this role, they operate the Finish Lynx Photo Finish System to determine race results, tracks horse positions, keeps time, uploads statistical data, and captures the photo result.
