Gary Lue has worked in the media and technology industry for over 30 years. In 1989, they began their career as Director of Operations at WBGO | Jazz 88.3 FM, where they were designated as the FCC Chief Operator for the station. In 1997, they joined Bloomberg as Chief Engineer, Multimedia and eventually became Director, Broadcast Production Group. In 2010, Lue worked in technical production and operations for both Fox Business Network and MSNBC. Gary then joined Kaplan Test Prep in 2011 as Vice President, Digital Media Production and Distribution, where they streamlined production and distribution systems to minimize production time and expense by up to 80%. In 2016, Lue was Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Anyhows, Inc., a cloud-based SaaS platform. From 2019 to present, Lue has held various roles including Digital Media and Technology Consulting at Bandwidth Media Group, Digital Content Director, Sundace Co//ab at Sundance Institute, and Chief Digital Officer and CIO and Head of Digital Innovation and Operations at CreatorUp. At CreatorUp, they spearheaded the digital transformation and technical operations of the company with the development of a game-changing platform leading to a Series A investment round, and implemented live streaming capabilities accounting for an additional $1.
Gary Lue has attended the New York Institute of Technology and Iona College, studying Communication Arts and Radio/Television (Seton School) respectively. Gary has also obtained certifications from Twitter Flight School, ASU+GSV Summit, and CreatorUp in 2021, 2020, and 2020 respectively.
