Michele Witkowski

Michele Witkowski has a diverse work experience in the field of compliance and auditing. Michele is currently working as a Senior Director of Compliance at cred.ai since November 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Beneficial Bank for over 11 years, starting in June 2008 as the VP, Compliance Officer - CRCM. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining and updating the Compliance and Fair Lending Program, developing regulatory policies, managing day-to-day Compliance Operations, and acting as a liaison for senior management during regulatory compliance examinations and audits.

Before joining Beneficial Bank, Michele worked at Accume Partners as an Audit Manager from June 2007 to June 2008. Michele'sresponsibilities included conducting various audits for community banks, developing SOX for credit card and banking clients, and presenting audit issues and recommendations to clients' Audit Committee. Michele also has experience working at Protiviti as a Senior Audit from August 2005 to January 2007, where they assisted clients in risk identification, control assessments, and process improvements, and developed year one SOX for numerous clients.

Michele also worked briefly at VWR, part of Avantor, as an Audit Supervisor in 2007, performing risk assessments on business processes and supervising audits on locations or processes of high/medium complexity, risk, and scope. Prior to that, they worked at MBNA as a Senior Auditor from June 2003 to July 2005, utilizing a risk-based audit approach to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and implementing process improvements.

At the start of their career, Michele worked at Ernst & Young as a Senior Audit from May 2000 to May 2003, where they prepared and audited financial statements for various clients, designed audit programs, conducted tests of controls, and corresponded with client management regarding audit adjustments and accounting issues.
