Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) is a local conservation authority established by the Ontario government in 1954 to protect, restore and enhance the natural environment of the Credit River watershed. That watershed is the area of land where all rainfall, snowmelt and runoff drain into lands and waters flowing into the Credit River. CVC creates connections between people and nature, knowledge and action. It inspires a deep appreciation for the role of nature in keeping people connected, healthy and happy. CVC is a member of Conservation Ontario.

The Community Outreach and Stewardship Team at Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) engages local communities to foster environmental stewardship and build connections with nature. They develop and deliver educational programs, organize community events, and facilitate volunteer opportunities to promote conservation efforts within the Credit River watershed. This team works collaboratively to inspire and empower individuals and organizations to take actionable steps towards sustaining natural resources and enhancing ecological health.

Community Outreach and Stewardship Team

The Program and Project Management team at Credit Valley Conservation oversees and coordinates a variety of conservation efforts within the Credit River watershed. This team ensures the effective planning, execution, and monitoring of projects related to forestry, aquatic and wetland restoration, stormwater science, ecosystem strategies, and climate change. Their work includes managing capital projects, safeguarding water sources, and promoting ecological goods and services to restore and enhance the natural environment.
