Peter Close

Peter Close has a long history of work experience in the field of science and technology. Peter began their career in 1998 as an Associate Scientist at Neuristics, where they led a project to develop a subprime bankcard credit scoring model and co-produced a kernel density estimation tool in MATLAB. In 2000, they joined CreditXpert as a Senior Scientist, where they served as project manager of a team of 11 in a year-long project and was a senior member of another year-long project. Peter also led two score improvement projects. In 2006, Peter became the Director of Science at CreditXpert, and later that year, they took on a role as Lecturer at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering, where they co-taught a data mining class. Peter then advanced to the roles of Director of Science & Technology and Director of Science & People at CreditXpert.

Peter Close has a comprehensive educational background. Peter earned a Phd in Applied Mathematics from the University of Maryland in 1998, an MSc in Applied Mathematics from the University of Reading in 1990, and a BSc in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Reading in 1989.
