Conner Metz

Conner Metz is an experienced manufacturing engineer currently working at Cree LED since September 2018. Prior to this role, Conner held positions as a Textile Engineering Intern at Freudenberg Performance Materials, where responsibilities included developing predictive equations related to fiber and fabric properties, and as an Administrative Engineering Intern at MID-ATLANTIC CRANE, managing rental equipment and freight shipments. Additionally, Conner worked as a New Product Development Intern at Tex Tech Industries, contributing to various projects and creating marketing presentations. Conner began a foundational role as a Resident Advisor at North Carolina State University, overseeing student interactions and community building. Conner holds a Master of Material Science and Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Engineering, both from North Carolina State University.
