Michael Watts

Michael Watts is an experienced engineering technician with over 30 years in the lighting and semiconductor industries. Currently serving as an Engineering Technician IV in the R&D department at Cree Lighting since April 2010, Michael previously held the position of Senior R&D Engineering Technician at Cree from April 1998 to April 2010, where responsibilities included operating an LED photometric/electronics test lab and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Prior to Cree, Michael worked as a Senior Equipment Technician at Mitsubishi Semiconductor America, Inc. from March 1989 to March 1998 and as a Test Technician at Northern Telecommunications through Kelly Services from September 1988 to March 1989. Educational qualifications include an Associate of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Southeastern Community College, completed between 1986 and 1988, and a high school diploma from Littlefield High School, earned in 1980.
