Li Cai

Li Cai is a Professor and Director at UCLA's CRESST, where they focus on psychometrics, computational statistics, and research design. They led the development of the widely used item response theory software programs IRTPRO and flexMIRT. Previously, Li held positions as an Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at UCLA, and worked as a Research Associate at The Ohio State University. With a PhD in Quantitative Psychology from UNC Chapel Hill, their expertise includes statistical modeling, educational testing, and mental health statistics. Li has also served as a Managing Partner at Vector Psychometric Group, LLC, and as Co-Editor for the Journal of Educational & Behavioral Statistics.
