Tom Gerken

Tom Gerken has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. From 2008 to 2012, they worked as a Senior Application Developer at CBS Corporation, specializing in financial applications using Microsoft technologies. In 2008, they also worked as a Consultant at Capgemini, focusing on development on the Microsoft platform.

From 2012 to 2017, Tom co-founded and served as the CTO of Panjo, a marketplace for auto, sport, and hobby enthusiasts. Tom built the platform and engineering team from scratch, successfully raising two rounds of funding.

After that, they worked as the Chief Technology Officer at Community Capital Technology from 2018 to 2019. Here, they oversaw all technical development and empowered community banks with their technology platform.

In 2017, they joined Foray Collective as the VP of Engineering, overseeing all development efforts for the fashion marketplace for social media influencers. Tom later transitioned to the role of Technical Advisor until 2019.

In 2014, Tom became a member of the LA CTO Forum, a private network of top technical minds in Los Angeles, where they actively participated in monthly meetings.

Currently, they are working at Crexi since 2020. Tom started as a Software Engineering Manager, then became the Director of Software Engineering, and now holds the position of VP Product Engineering.

Tom Gerken holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science from the University of Southern California. Tom has also obtained a certification as an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services in February 2020.
