Tom Michiels

Tom Michiels has extensive experience in health and safety management, currently serving as HSE Manager for CRH Europe Materials and as Safety Manager for CRH Europe Heavyside since May 2016. Prior to these roles, Tom worked as a Safety Officer at VVM (CRH Heavy Side West) from March 2013 to May 2016 and as a Safety Advisor at Umicore Precious Metals Refining from October 2002 to February 2013, where responsibilities included conducting risk analyses and ensuring machine safety. Tom's earlier career at Umicore spanned from February 1998 to September 2002 in various process and supervisory roles. Tom holds a degree as Preventieadviseur niv II from Provinciaal Veiligheidsinstituut (2008-2009) and a background in applied plant sciences from Technisch Instituut Scheppers (1987-1997).
