Andy Nortrup

Andy Nortrup has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Andy is currently the Director of Product Management at Cribl, starting in October 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Tanium as the Director of Product Operations from August 2022 to October 2023, and as the Director of Product Management from February 2020 to August 2022. Before Tanium, Nortrup held positions at Splunk, serving as a Senior Product Manager from April 2017 to February 2020, and as a Senior Product Manager - App Certification from February 2016 to April 2017. Andy also has military experience, having served in the US Army as an Operations Officer at the Seattle Military Entry Processing Station from August 2014 to February 2016. Additionally, Nortrup worked as a Senior Product Manager at U.S. Army - 334 Signal Company from June 2013 to June 2014. Prior to this, they served as a Product Manager at 1-14 Cavalry, where they advised and collaborated with staff on communications, electronics, and automations for a 600-person organization. Nortrup began their military career as a Product Manager at U.S. Army - Alpha Company / 72d Expeditionary Signal Battalion from October 2008 to October 2010, and as a Platoon Leader at Alpha Company, 72d Expeditionary Signal Battalion from November 2008 to April 2009. Andy also worked as a System Engineer at 72d Expeditionary Signal Battalion from February 2008 to November 2008.

Andy Nortrup obtained a Master of Software Engineering degree in Computer Software Engineering from Penn State University from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed the Signal Captains Career Course and Signal Basic Officer Leader Course at the United States Army Signal Center of Excellence in 2010-2011 and 2007-2008 respectively. Andy also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Networking and Systems Administration from the Rochester Institute of Technology, completed in 2007. Andy completed their high school education at Kennebunk High School from 1999 to 2003. In addition, Andy has obtained certifications such as Cribl Certified Observability Engineer User from Cribl in 2023, Splunk Power User certification from Splunk in 2017, Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org in 2015, and Computing for Data Analysis certification from Coursera in 2013.
