Debbie Thomas

Debbie Thomas serves as the Head of Policy and Communications for Wales at Crisis since October 2022, following a distinguished tenure at the National Deaf Children's Society where Debbie held the roles of Head of Policy and Influencing and Policy and Campaigns Officer for Wales from September 2008 to October 2022. Prior experience includes working as a News Reporter at South Wales Argus Limited from June 2007 to September 2008. Debbie Thomas holds a BA in English Literature and Cultural Criticism from Cardiff University and has completed the British Council's Future Leaders Connect Programme at the University of Cambridge. Additional educational qualifications include an Education Abroad Programme at UC Santa Barbara, a Diploma in Newspaper Journalism from Highfield College, and a Level 2 British Sign Language certification from Signature.
