Jerry Black

Vice President at Criterion Systems

Mr. Jerry Black is Criterion’s vice president responsible for the company’s presence in the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and will continue as Criterion’s key executive for this Department. He also helps support Criterion’s growth in other Federal civilian agencies. Mr. Black is the program manager for Criterion’s U.S Department of Agriculture (USDA) Information Technology Support Services (DAITSS) contract.

Mr. Black has more than 30 years of professional experience in planning, supervising, and information technology strategy. Before joining Criterion, he was the Assistant Director in the Chief Information Officer for the US Forest Service where he provided national leadership in formulating and executing policies and programs supporting more than 30,000 users. Prior to that, Mr. Black was the SES Acting Associate CIO for Client Technology Services (CTS) within the Office of the Chief Information Officer for the USDA. In this position, he led a department of over 1,000 employees in providing quality IT services and products for USDA.

Mr. Black has an M.A., in Public Administration, from Central Michigan University in Washington, DC, and a B.A., in Political Science, with a Minor in History from Radford University. He is the past governor of the Dale City Fraternal Order of Moose and is involved in various community projects.
