Nelson Vale

Nelson Vale is an experienced engineering and technical manager with a strong background in software engineering and quality assurance. Currently, at Critical Software since February 2012, responsibilities include managing projects in building management, room automation, and smart meters, as well as overseeing the implementation of DO-178B certifiable software for avionics systems. Previously, at Critical Links, Inc. from October 2006 to February 2012, Nelson was the head developer for the Portuguese K12 Schools Authentication System, leading the development of various modules for the edgeBOX and real-time network monitoring tools. Earlier experience as a quality assurance engineer at Critical Software involved stress testing and test automation for Linux-based solutions. Nelson holds a master’s degree in Mobile Computing from Politécnico da Guarda, completed between 2013 and 2015, and a bachelor's degree from the same institution, earned in 2005.
