Sofia Costa is a RAMS Engineer for Railway Systems at Critical Software since March 2020, focusing on safety assessments and RAMS engineering activities throughout the project life cycle, adhering to various railway safety standards. Prior to this role, Sofia worked as an IVVQ Engineer for Railway Systems at Thales Portugal, where verification and validation activities were conducted on railway lines in Portugal and South Africa using tools such as JIRA and Mantis Bug Tracker. Earlier experience includes serving as a Junior Consultant at Altran, specializing in integration, verification, validation, and qualification for the railway market, and an internship at EDP, where environmental impacts of floating PV power plants were studied using MATLAB. Sofia holds a Master's degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa and a secondary education in Sciences and Technologies from Escola Secundária da Lourinhã.
