Laura Buccoli holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham, where they focused on developing surface-confined fluorescence boronic acid-based sensors for saccharide detection. They have served as an Honorary Research Fellow and have extensive teaching experience, including roles as a Teaching Assistant and Academic Tutor. Currently, Laura works as a Lead Application Scientist at Croda while also representing the STLE UK Student Chapter on social media. Laura has a Master's degree in Chemical Science from the Università degli Studi di Cagliari and a Bachelor's degree in the same field.
