Murray Meissner is an experienced biochemist and engineer currently serving as the Biocatalysis Team Lead at Croda since January 2023. Prior to this role, Murray led the Catalyst Development Group at FabricNano from August 2020 to November 2022, focusing on enhancing catalyst functionality through enzyme design on DNA scaffolds. Murray's career includes positions as a Senior Biochemical Engineer and Biochemical Engineer also at FabricNano, overseeing the transition of novel biocatalytic reactions to flow reactors. Previously, Murray worked as a Research Scientist at Oxford Biotrans Ltd. and completed a Ph.D. at the Technical University of Denmark under the supervision of Professor John Woodley. Academic qualifications also include a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
