Mark Werremeyer has held various engineering roles since 2010. From 2010 to 2013, they worked at the University of Florida as a member of the Space Systems Group and a Graduate Teaching Assistant. From 2013 to 2021, they worked at Raytheon as a Space IRAD Systems Engineer, Smallsat IRAD Principal Investigator, and Advanced Mechanical Engineering Support to Manufacturing. Since 2021, they have been a Space Systems and Cybersecurity Engineer at Cromulence LLC, building Hackasat CTF from the ground up and creating Quals challenges in orbital mechanics, space dynamics, satellite signal processing, quaternion pointing, and general spacemath madness. Mark has also evolved the finals architecture from hardware and over-the-air RF transmission to solar-system scale constellation simulation and RISC-V processor-level hardware emulation.
Mark Werremeyer obtained a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida in 2013, a Certificate in Systems Engineering from the University of Florida in 2013, and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida in 2011. Mark additionally obtained a Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist certification from Raytheon in 2014 and a Systems Engineering certification from the University of Florida in 2013.
