Michael Weizel

Michael Weizel has a range of experience in the legal field, starting with their role as a Counsellor and Soccer Coach at Camp Manitou from 2007 to 2010. Michael then worked as a Summer Intern at Joseph R. Young Barrister and Solicitor in 2011, followed by serving as a Unit Head at Camp Manitou from 2011 to 2012. From 2013 to 2013, they were a Summer Student at Joseph R. Young Barrister and Solicitor, where they researched various legal topics and performed administrative tasks. Michael also worked as a Program Coordinator at Camp Manitou for a brief period in 2013.

Michael began their legal career as an Articling Student at Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP from 2016 to 2017. Michael then became an Associate at the same firm from 2017 to 2019. Their experience at Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP continued with roles that included Senior Legal Counsel from 2021 to 2022, and they currently hold the position of Director, Legal Counsel at Cronos Group starting in May 2022.
