Karan Mehta

Karan Mehta serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at Cross River Bank and is responsible for articulating corporate strategy and driving the coordination and implementation of key strategic initiatives within Cross River. Karan has more than 20 years of experience in financial services across geographies. Prior to joining Cross River, Karan served as the Head of Capital Markets at Marlette Funding, LLC, the platform behind Best Egg, and was responsible for all financing activities, whole loan sales and establishment of a securitization program. Karan also spent 12 years at Deutsche Bank, most recently leading coverage of the US consumer unsecured and small business sectors with the Structured Products group. He began his career in Asia with Merrill Lynch and with a successful startup. Karan has an MA from the University of Essex and an MBA from New York University.
