Crossbar Labs collects egocentric (first-person) video data for AI and robotics companies building physical AI.
We partner with skilled tradespeople — cooks, craftspeople, tailors, textile workers, and artisans — equipping them with head-mounted cameras to capture expert hand manipulation in real working environments. This footage trains the next generation of robotic systems to understand how humans move, handle tools, and perform complex tasks.
We operate end-to-end: worker sourcing, camera deployment, quality assurance, and optional data annotation. Raw footage or labeled datasets — both are in scope depending on client needs.
Our first pilot is live in Mumbai, India, capturing professional cooking data for a robotics client building AI chef capabilities.
Robotics companies are spending hundreds of millions annually on this type of data. We're building the infrastructure in India to supply it — at scale, with quality, from workers whose livelihoods benefit from participating.
