Charles Muthee

Charles Muthee is a seasoned professional in the energy sector, currently serving as a Senior Permitting Officer at CrossBoundary since April 2023, focusing on licensing and permitting for commercial and industrial energy projects, particularly in the mining sector. Prior to this role, Charles was a Project Manager at Ecoener, overseeing grid-scale power projects and coordinating various studies necessary for licensing and permits across multiple African countries. Charles has also gained extensive project development experience at SOWITEC GROUP, managing wind and solar PV projects in Kenya and Zimbabwe. An entrepreneurial venture included founding Fussball Nax Arena, where Charles developed business strategies and managed operations. Earlier internships with organizations such as the African Youth Foundation and the United Nations Volunteers contributed to a foundation in program coordination and evaluation. Charles holds multiple degrees, including an MSc in Renewable Energy from Kenyatta University and an MA in Culture and Environment in Africa from the University of Cologne.
