Michael Schaal

Michael Schaal is the Owner and Executive Director of Chikara Fitness 株式会社, a position held since June 2010, and a member of the Seminar Staff at CrossFit, Inc. since August 2013. Prior to these roles, Michael served as an Admiral Aide for the Submarine Group from September 2006 to January 2010, where responsibilities included planning travel itineraries for international diplomacy. Michael also dedicated nearly eight years to the United States Navy as a Submarine Warfare Officer and Division Manager, overseeing a team responsible for critical submarine systems. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and advanced coursework in mechanical, chemical, and nuclear engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School.
