As a Network Design Specialist for ILX Systems Inc. in 1999, Derek Wong was the project leader responsible for implementing the new Global Exchange Market data feed. His duties included providing detailed system requirements and specifications for generating access control lists.
He was also a project leader for the conversion of legacy asynchronous data traffic to IP traffic corporate wide. He also implemented regional branch offices upgrade, which increased bandwidth on Frame-relay and Point-to-Point links.
Working as a Network Engineer in New York University in 1995, Derek was a key member of the team that designed, implemented and setup a large campus-wide networking infrastructure. The infrastructure utilized primarily IP and IPX that linked over a hundred buildings and numerous University departments’ subnet segments.
Derek has had over 9 years of experience installing, configuring and testing network routers and switches equipments.
As a Network Implementation Specialist in CrossRoads Technology, Derek designs and implements internal corporate network infrastructures. His duties include identifying client legacy network infrastructure topology, troubleshooting network problems, creating a reliable network infrastructure, and implementing additional connections to client’s branch offices.
