Robert Berdahl

Robert Berdahl is an esteemed educator and administrator with a notable career in higher education. Robert served as a history professor and dean at the University of Oregon from 1967 to 1986, before becoming vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for seven years. Berdahl held the position of president at the University of Texas and later became chancellor at the University of California-Berkeley from 1997 to 2004. Following his tenure as president of the Association of American Universities from 2006 to 2011, Berdahl returned to the University of Oregon as interim president in 2012. Currently, Berdahl serves as an advisory board member at Crowdmark while also holding board positions at ACT and Lam Research.
