Alec Dean

Alec Dean has a diverse work experience that spans across multiple industries and roles.

Alec started their career as a Data Analysis Intern at the Indiana State Board of Accounts in 2014. After that, they worked as an Undergraduate Instructor at Indiana University Bloomington from 2015 to 2016.

In 2016, Alec joined General Motors as an IT Operations Engineer and stayed with the company until 2019. During this time, they gained valuable experience in managing and maintaining IT operations.

In 2019, Alec transitioned to the cybersecurity field and joined E2open as an Associate Security Engineer. Alec later became a Security Engineer and worked in this role until 2022.

Currently, Alec is working at CrowdStrike, a leading cybersecurity company. Alec initially joined as a Corporate Sales Engineer in 2022 and was recently promoted to the position of Corporate Sales Engineer - Team Lead in July 2023.

Alec Dean obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Informatics from Indiana University Bloomington between 2012 and 2016. Later, from 2017 to 2019, they pursued a Master's degree in Cybersecurity - Cyber Operations at Utica University. In 2020, Alec obtained an Advanced Vulnerability Manager certification from Rapid7.
